On June 28, American pop music act Beyoncé halted a live performance at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas due to a prop malfunction on the first night of a tour. In the middle of performing her song "16 Carriages", the Cadillac suspended in mid-air above the audience in which she was sitting in began to tilt to one side.

Cuomo concedes to Mamdani in Democratic primary election for New York City mayor

On June 24, Andrew Cuomo conceded to democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani in the New York City Democratic Primary election for mayor. Though Mamdani holds 44% of first-choice votes to Cuomo's 36% of first-choice votes, the race has not been called yet as the election is expected to proceed into its ranked choice voting system.

U.S. strikes Iranian nuclear sites Fordow, Natanz, Isfahan overnight

The United States launched airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, overnight between June 21 and 22, aimed at disabling Iran's nuclear capabilities. The strike, designated Operation Midnight Hammer by the U.S. military, was ordered by President Donald Trump and announced late Saturday night from Washington.

Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, returned home on Saturday, June 14, after a four-day visit to London between June 10 to 13. Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam had told reporters on Thursday that the main subject of the visit was the recovery of about £174bn (US$234 billion) in national assets, which Bangladesh authorities claim were "siphoned off" to other countries during Sheikh Hasina's former premiership.
