Why does solar make so much sense?

We live in a world with a great deal of uncertainty. We see that in the economic catastrophe we've been living in for the past four years. Over the next 16 years global warming will continue to increase the frequency and severity of storms, drought, flooding, and record temperatures. Depleting reserves of oil and gas and coal promise to further escalate both economic and climate change uncertainty and catastrophe. One thing we do know is that the sun will come up each day. That means we can always use solar energy. Wherever we are we can grow food in even the smallest apartment with even the smallest window. By installing solar we can heat our water. Using solar photovoltaic panels we can generate electricity. With storage tanks for hot water and batteries for storing electricity we can move to 100% renewable energy. Doing so now means that we establish a level of certainty ecnomically speaking as we pay for 30-40 years or more of energy that requires no fuel. Since the sun rises every day we can't be destroyed by the uncertain cost of escalating fuel costs.

More importantly by switching to solar we can prevent global warming. So, the twin chief causes of uncertainty can be defeated by something any of us can do today. Switch to solar power and take control of your life and provide some hope that we can provide some level of certainty for our children.

Here is a video that explains how:
